I became a photographer the day I happened upon a grizzly bear in Montana’s Glacier National Park in the summer of 1996. That moment inspired me to move from my childhood home of Scotland to live in beautiful Vancouver, BC, on Canada’s Pacific coast, where I live with my fiancée Nicole and our two strange looking dogs.
Equal parts landscape and wildlife photographer, my love of the North American wild takes me on deeply immersive solo trips through the Desert Southwest, Yellowstone & Grand Teton, The Everglades, the Canadian Rockies, and anywhere that charismatic quadrupedal megafauna (big sexy four-legged animals) like to call home.
I shoot with a Nikon D5 and a set of four lenses:
- AF-S NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G ED VR II
- AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR
- AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
- AF-S NIKKOR 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED
